What does it take to be eligible to apply for an Minnesota FHA home loan?  FHA requirements includes details about income, credit rating and other factors, but before a loan officer looks at any of that information, an applicant has to meet the basics.

A Conventional home loan is not guaranteed or insured by the federal government. A conventional loan refers to a mortgage that follows the guidelines of government sponsored enterprises (GSEs) such as Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac.

Eligibility You must have suitable credit, sufficient income, and a valid Certificate of Eligibility (COE) to be eligible for a VA-guaranteed home loan. The home must be for your own personal occupancy. The eligibility requirements to obtain a COE are listed on our page for Service-members and Veterans, spouses, and other eligible beneficiaries.

The USDA changed rules in 2009 that makes millions of Americans eligible for its rural mortgage programs. The American dream of home ownership has become more difficult as families struggle to come up with the 20% down payment that many conventional home loans require. With a Minnesota USDA home loan, many are still able to get a zero down home loan.
